Our Ministries

Matthew 9: 35-38

And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.  Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.

Homeless Outreach

Join us the second Saturday of each month to fellowship, prepare blessing bags, and head out to downtown Houston to edify our ever growing unsheltered population!  Our Homeless outreach involves moving outside the walls of the building and our comfort zones to engage with people experiencing homelessness who may be disconnected and alienated not only from mainstream services and supports, but from their families as well. This is an incredibly important work designed to help provide nourishment to their physical bodies, establish supportive relationships, and edify people through scripture, prayer and song.

Young Adult Friday Night Bible Study

Young adult Generation Now devotion started during the Pandemic as a means for young Christians from across the US to continue to grow in the absence of their congregations corporate worship. The study is lead by a number of brothers on fire for the Lord and our group of nearly 30 participants meets on Friday evenings at 7 pm on zoom. (Email address on homepage for Zoom link)

The tenets of our study center around 3 principles:

1) Spiritual growth

2) Equipping of the Saints

3) Edification

Women's Bible Study

Studying the Word deepens our relationship with God more than anything. As women, we should individually work intentionally each day to develop and grow our relationship with Christ.

However, beyond our personal studies, Ladies Bible Class allows us to meet once a month to connect with Him as we connect with one another.

Being able to join together with a group of like-minded women who desire a closer relationship with Jesus Christ and candidly discuss various topics will bless your life beyond belief.

But don’t take our word for it!  Join us and see for yourself!

Victims of Sexual Assault Support Group

.... a subject matter that is hardly addressed in the church.  No matter how painful, the reality is that as the body of Christ, we have members who are hurting and dealing with the affects of sexual abuse including assault.  WE hear you.  Join one of our support groups.  Email us for details using the email address on the homepage. (Begins September 29, 2021)

The Joseph Project Houston Ex-Offender Ministry

The Joseph Project Houston is a program designed to meet the needs of Christian ex-offenders.  As Brothers and Sisters are released from prison, we provide them group counseling, bible studies, care packages, second chance employment connections and mentors at congregations near their locale.

Foster Group Home Ministry

James 1:27 states that we are to visit the orphans... WE take this seriously and have adopted two Church of Christ foster group homes with which we work with.  Camps include VBS, Life Skills classes, Auto Mechanics, Etiquette and more.  Camps occur during the summer and run 4 days to a week in length. The door is always open for volunteers in this regard and WE seek opportunities to serve others homes as such.

Celebrate Recovery Support Group (Forthcoming)

Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits.  It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory.  Celebrate Recovery has helped thousands of people as they seek working through addiction; work on relationships, anxiety and depression and more.
